In October 18th, the National Quality Inspection Bureau released information that the EU will be included in the new cavity kelp seaweed extract food ingredients.
In October 16th, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) issued document No. 10.2903/j.efsa.2017.5003, according to the European Parliament and of the Council (EC) No. 258/97, authorized the kelp seaweed extract (Ecklonia cava cavity Phlorotannins) as a new food ingredient.
As a dietary supplement, the use of ingredients is safe: the maximum intake level for adolescents aged 12 to 14 is 163 mg / day, and the age of 14 is 230 mg / day and 263 mg / day for adults.
